WOAH(OIE)主催ウェビナー:アジア太平洋地域の獣医ワークフォース開発と将来の展望
掲載日:2024年04月18日
The World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) recognises that veterinarians, veterinary paraprofessionals (VPPs) and in some cases community animal health workers (CAHWs) are at the forefront of animal disease surveillance, prevention and control. Through WOAH’s Workforce Development programme and the PVS Pathway, WOAH helps Members identify existing gaps in their veterinary workforce and provides national Veterinary Services with a range of tools to strengthen the workforce. The tools continue to be developed and refined.
In Asia and the Pacific region, a regional virtual awareness raising workshop on VPPs and workforce development was organised in 2021 to introduce the concept of workforce development and the programme. Following the workshop, WOAH invited its Members to submit expressions of interest (EOIs) for WOAH support for national level activities. Based on the EOIs, WOAH organised national workforce development workshops with seven Members and some Members engaged in other PVS Targeted Support activities to address their workforce issues.
A virtual information session for WOAH Members and Partners in Asia and the Pacific region is proposed to 1) share updates on WOAH’s Veterinary Workforce Development Programme and 2) invite Members to share their recent experiences and ways forward.
Objectives of this virtual information session are to:
- To promote workforce development as a part of strengthening veterinary workforce resilience;
- To share updates on WOAH’s workforce development programme and implementing countries since 2021; and
- To share findings from regional/ sub-regional analysis on Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) and legislation.
On behalf of WOAH, we are pleased to invite you and other key stakeholders of veterinary workforce development in your country/territory to join this virtual information session. To join the event, please register using the following zoom registration link:
