1885 | The veterinarian license system began. The Japan Veterinary Association, a predecessor of JVMA, was founded. |
1948 | The JVMA was founded. |
1950 | The 1st National Veterinarian Conference was held. |
1953 | JVMA joined WVA |
1973 | JVMA joined FAVA as a founding member. |
1980 | The 2nd FAVA Conference was held. |
1993 | Training Program for Asian Veterinarians (TP-FAV I) was launched. |
1995 | The 25th World Veterinary Congress and the 9th FAVA Conference were held. |
2007 | The 1st“Japan World Veterinary Day” was held. |
2013 | Agreement on the Promotion of Academic Collaboration was signed by Japan Medical Association and JVMA. |
2016 | The 2nd WVA-WMA Global Conference on One Health was held. “Fukuoka Memorandum” was adopted. Training Program for Asian Veterinarians Ⅱ (TP-FAVⅡ) was launched. |
2017 | Kyushu Animal Emergency Shelter was set up. |
2018 | “The Memorandum on the Promotion of Veterinary Academic Interaction among JVMA, Korea Veterinary Association, and Taiwan Veterinary Association” was signed. |
2019 | The 1st Veterinary Summit of 3 East-Asian Countries was held. |
