成牛の維持量である30ml/kgまたはその2倍量の糖加低張ハルトマン氏液(HG)の静脈内投与が,循環血漿量および酸塩基平衡に及ぼす影響について検討した.4頭の未経産牛に市販輸液セットで可能な最大投与速度である20ml/kg/時間で30または60ml/kgのHGを静脈内投与し,投与終了より270分間観察した.その結果,30および60ml/kg群の循環血漿量は,投与終了時に122.3±4.1および129.5±4.7%まで増加したが,両群間で有意な差は認められなかった.また,これらの投与量のHGを成牛に急速投与しても酸塩基平衡,血清生化学項目および血清浸透圧に特に影響を及ぼさなかった.よって,低張電解質液を用いた維持量輸液療法は大動物診療において安全かつ有効に応用することが可能であると考えられた. ―キーワード:酸塩基平衡,輸液療法,未経産牛,低張電解質輸液剤,循環血漿量.

fluids (HG) on plasma volume and acid-base equilibrium were examined. Tests were made twice on 4 heifers.
The animals were infused with either 30 ml/kg or 60 ml/kg of HG at a flow rate of 20 ml/kg/hr and were
allowed at least 20 days to recover between infusions. After fluid replacement, they were monitored for
270 minutes. At the end of fluid replacement, relative plasma volume (rPV) increased to 122.3±4.1% (t=90)
in the animals receiving 30 ml/kg and 129.5±4.7% (t=180) in animals receiving 60 ml/kg. No significant
difference in rPV was observed between the 2 groups. No significant changes were observed in acid-base
equilibrium and serum osmotic pressure in heifers receiving intravenous HG infusions of 30 ml/kg or 60
ml/kg. These findings indicate that hypotonic-solution infusions of 30 ml/kg or 60 ml/kg at a flow rate
of 20 ml/kg/hr can be administered to cattle effectively and safely. ―Key words : acid-base status, fluid
