1995年(6〜8月)および1996年(7〜9月)に北西北太平洋(北緯35〜52度,東経140〜170度)で捕獲された177頭(雌:21頭,雄:156頭)のミンククジラについて外部・内部寄生虫相を調査した結果,外部寄生虫3種;
クジライカリムシPennella balaenoptera(68.4%),クジラシラミCyamus balaenoptera(5.1%),Xenobalanus globicipitis(1.1%),内部寄生虫6種; Anisakis
simplex(89.8%),クジラ大複殖門条虫Diplogonoporus balaenoptera(13.0%),大卵裂頭条虫Diphyllobothrium macroovatum(13.0%),Tetrabothrius
sp.(4.5%),クジラ肝蛭Lecithodesmus goliath(59.9%)およびクジラ鉤頭虫Bolbsoma nipponicum(100.0%)が検出された. --------------------日獣会誌 53,85〜88(2000)
The Ectoparasites and Endoparasites in the Minke Whale, Balaenopteraacutorostrata from the Western North Pacific OceanAkihiko UCHIDA* and Jun ARAKI
SUMMARY A Parasitological survey was conducted of minke whales (Balaenoptera acutorostrata) from the
Western North Pacific Ocean in June〜August 1995 and July〜September 1996. A total of minke whales were
captured in waters from 35〜52°N and 140〜170°E. The ecto- and endo parasites found were as follows (prevalence):
the copepod Pennella balaenoptera (68.4%); the amphipod (whale louse) Cyamus balaenoptera (5.1%);
the trematode Lecithodesmus goliath (59.9%); the cestodes Diphyllobothrium macroovatum (13.0%); Diplogonoporus
balaenoptera (13.0%); Tetrabothrius sp. (4.5%); the nematode Anisakis simplex (89.8%);
and the acanthocephalan Bolbosoma nipponicum (100%). Two species of epizoits, Xenobalanus globicipitis (1.1%)
